About the Job
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager with a growth mindset to join our team to contribute to our Product Management culture and be responsible for defining the roadmap, actively managing a core segment while taking ownership for one or more areas of the Checkfront Product.
With empathy, you will gain a deep understanding of your product area and will play a crucial role in evolving the value of your core product areas. In this role, you will partner with a world class team of Product Designers, Engineers, Product Analysts, and Marketers to understand the needs of Checkfront customers as it relates to your product area.
Some tasks you’ll be taking on
Plan and develop the roadmap of your product area – From discovery to execution; you’ll identify the problems to be solved, define the desired customer experience, lead the execution strategy, oversee implementation, and measure the success of your product initiatives
Build a roadmap and product backlog that is continuously maintained and prioritized, working collaboratively with engineers and designers in an iterative, agile process to deliver against the roadmap
You’ll own features and experiments end-to-end, including writing product specs, driving cross-functional execution, and collaborating with Design and Engineering to assess tradeoffs and feasibility. Work closely with our users, data analysts, and customer facing teams to deeply understand and address user needs and identify opportunities
Make data-informed product decisions with qualitative and quantitative research. Obsess over outcomes and know where best to invest the team’s valuable time. Share insights and results throughout the company
You will execute against plans with engineering, design, analytics, marketers, and other product partners: making trade-offs, anticipating needs, risks, and ensuring frequent and clear communication
Partner closely with functional teams across Checkfront to align product development with cross-platform initiatives and ensure consistency of our experiences cross-platform
Ideally, you should have
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in SaaS product management
Experience managing and overseeing multiple on-going initiatives simultaneously
You can take rough themes and big ideas and turn them into a roadmap of features, experiments, and research with minimal guidance
You can dream big, but work small, delivering customer value frequently
Deep customer empathy and product craft, with a strong attention to detail
Expertise in consumer/user experiences and navigational experiences
Portfolio-oriented product approach for balancing bold, high-upside bets with quick wins
Impeccable follow-through. You say what you’ll do, and do what you say. You hold your team to this standard. You don’t let details slip
You listen well. You build consensus by default, but can drive hard decisions when needed. You push the pace. You take blame and pass on praise. People love working with you
