Additional responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:
Manage driver performance to ensure high standards are set and maintained, undertaking driver performance reviews, and managing performance issues in accordance with HR policies and in consultation with the HR team.
Complete all related payroll tasks including but not limited to payroll system checks, sign off and approvals, management of manual timesheets and payroll report approvals.
Manage onboarding of new drivers, including training, coaching and completion of probation reviews – ensuring training guidelines are met.
Understand the Logistics Team Performance Goals to ensure alignment with KPIs to drive focus and delivery of results.
Ensure compliance to internal controls, reporting and documentation.
Collaborate with key internal customers (Retail, C&I, etc.) and business partners to ensure cross-functional tactical alignment and agreed service level agreements are met in an incident-free, cost-effective manner.
Assist in developing the OPEX plans for Logistics team. Responsible for OPEX control according to Business Plan.
Execute and comply with operation, OE/HES and business processes.
Perform and participate in Assessments, Audits and other business compliance / assurance assessments.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
Previous transport supervisory experience (desirable)
Knowledge and understanding of HSSEQ and responsibilities, transitional fatigue management and NHVAS (National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme
Grade 12, DG License and Relevant Heavy Vehicle License (desirable)
3+years’ experience as a Driver is an advantage
Knowledge of the fuel industry (desirable)
Good written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
Basic computer skills
