Chinook’s Edge School Division invites applications for a full-time (6.5 hours/day Monday to Friday) Nutrition Program Coordinator at Penhold Elementary School (Grades 4-6). The successful candidate will be responsible for: meal planning for breakfast and lunch based on Canada’s Food Guide, budgeting for groceries, shopping for groceries (own transportation is required, mileage will be paid), supporting the hot lunch program, and delivering food to classrooms within Penhold Elementary School. The successful candidate must have good interpersonal skills, communication skills, organizational skills, and be able to meet timelines and maintain a safe and healthy environment. Preference will be given to candidates who have previous baking, and/or cooking experience, safe food handling certification, and knowledge of public food regulations and Alberta Health Guidelines. Candidates will need to be able to adapt to a changing school environment, work with school age children, and support their understanding and knowledge of nutrition and the Canadian Food Guide. Exact hours of work will be determined with the successful candidate.
