CIBC Mellon Looking for Director, Treasury Technology at Toronto, Ontario, Canada Full Time

• Leverage in-depth understanding of treasury products, processes, and systems to oversee the configuration and customization of treasury applications and EUC’s. Explore opportunities to optimize the functionality of these tools in relation to risk management, liquidity management, and investments.
• Collaborate with senior leadership both internally and through our parent organizations to develop and drive the strategic roadmap for treasury technology initiatives.
• Continuously identify opportunities to enhance treasury processes through technology solutions. Advocate leading edge practices, automation, and innovation to streamline workflows and increase overall operational efficiency and information reliability.
• Lead the management and maintenance of treasury data feeds, ensuring accurate and timely data acquisition from various sources. Ensure the reliability of financial information through data integrity and security measures.
• Act as technical liaison between the Treasury, Risk & Information Technology.
• Manage third-party vendor relationships and system maintenance contracts.
• Engage in ongoing dialogue to understand business and data requirements. Translate business requirements into actionable plans in alignment with the organization’s long-term goals.
• Responsible for project management and oversight of ongoing treasury technology initiatives including budgeting, cost management, resourcing, and project timelines.
• Lead and support future treasury system upgrades and maintenance while managing the impact on daily operations and provide training as required.
• Understand all regulatory and compliance requirements to assess impacts on treasury technology, ensuring all quality assurance and filing requirements are met.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years industry and work experience in Treasury, Financial Markets, Information Technology, and Business.
• University degree; CFA, CSC designations preferred.
• Strong Treasury and Capital Markets business knowledge including the trading functions (front, middle, and back office), trading instruments (multiple asset classes including derivatives), pricing, risk, and regulations.
• Experience leading high-visibility technology initiatives.
• Ability to manage stakeholders on technology transformation initiatives.
• Experienced with technology architecture, decision making workflows, trading and risk systems within a Capital Markets business.
• Experience in project management with the ability to handle complex, cross-functional technology projects.
• Experience with automation tools, treasury application suites and technology interface.
• Knowledge of key regulatory requirements impacting treasury operations, reporting, systems, and data.
