Travel Requirements: Possibility to Cambridge ON and Columbus OH. Ability to travel up to 25% within the U.S. on an ad-hoc basis. Some flexibility based off the engineer’s preference.
Daily Schedule/Shift: Start with 1st shift, candidate must be open to working all 3 shifts.

Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FANUC Robotics Engineer to join our client’s engineering team in Automotive Manufacturing field. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing FANUC robotics systems. The Robotics Engineer will play a key role in building, commissioning, implementing, and maintaining FANUC robots to enhance efficiency and productivity in the manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, troubleshoot and optimize FANUC industrial robots from the ground up, including expertise in IR (Integrated Robot) Vision and DCS Validation
- Build and commission robots from scratch, especially those involved in moving parts and acting as adhesive guns, ensuring seamless integration into the production process
- Manage timelines – stay on track, report and communicate efficiently
- Manage open issues list
- Lead meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Requirements
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experiences:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience within Robotics Engineer role
- Experience with multiple models of FANUC Robotics
- Experience with DCS Validation setup
- Experience with teaching / set up of FANUC robots in FANUC TP language
- Experience with IR (Integrated Robot) Vision, Roboguide and Process Simulate
- Experience with the design, build and start-up of manufacturing systems
- Experience with design, set up, and debug of automation systems
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex robotic system issues
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines and open issues list, report progress, and communicate effectively
- Experience leading meetings and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Work independently, taking initiative and demonstrating self-sufficiency in task completion, ready to hit the floor running
Preferred Skills and Experiences:
- Experience with GM Robots, and GRS (Global Robot System) certified
- Working experience in GM plant
Education and Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer science is preferred
