Human Resources Services creates and implements human resources strategies and programs that are aligned and integrated with business strategies to facilitate the attraction, development, deployment and retention of a diverse, knowledgeable and engaged workforce. With a focus on talent recruitment and management, Human Resources is the centre of expertise providing a one-stop shop for the City’s Human Resource needs.
You are responsible for applying change management methodology and principles, and providing communications, training and change management advice and services to meet business change objectives and initiatives. You focus on the people side of change, business processes, roles and organizational structures; create and promote the implementation of change management plans that include communication and training requirements to minimize employee resistance and maximize employee engagement; and foster faster adoption, greater ultimate utilization and higher proficiency on the changes impacting employees in the organization such that business results are achieved.
You work collaboratively with management and other stakeholders to determine and address changes to business processes and needs; conduct environmental scans for related initiatives to ensure alignment; participate in the development of communication and training plans; and work to drive faster adoption, higher utilization and greater proficiency of the changes that impact the business and the employees.
Completion of 4 year university degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, Public Administration or related field.
Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or Business Administration is desirable
Minimum of 6 years of related experience in developing, implementing and supporting human resources and change management initiatives in a results-oriented environment; including at least 2 years of project management experience in lead role, working on large-scale, enterprise-wide initiatives and programs. Consulting or professional services experience is an asset.
