Clarington Honda has an immediate need for a Business Development Coordinator to join our successful dealership in Bowmanville. In this key role, the successful candidate will be responsible for handling a customer relations program to create and schedule appointments, as well as create and maintain a strong customer base. The Business Development Coordinator must act as a liaison between Clarington Honda and its current customer base.

Responsibilities:
As a key member of the Sales and Fixed Operations team, your responsibilities will include the following.
- Be our “Ambassador of Good First Impressions”. Greet all customers that come to us in person or via telephone in a prompt and courteous manner, ensuring that they are directed to the proper department or person in a timely fashion, as per the Telephone Guidelines given under separate cover
- Initiate BDC and service exchange calls from lists provided by the sales manager
- Contact customers for after sales follow-up referral appointments
- Inform current and potential customers of sales events, such as private sales or upgrade events
- Backup the Service/Appointment Coordinators, taking Service appointments during peak periods in the Service department, as necessary
- Maintain customer database, including updating addresses and privacy preferences when requested by customers
- Perform any additional task as required by the department manager and General Manager
- Measure up to high standards: your dedication in following established Service processes in order to ensure our Customer Satisfaction Index goals are met will result in success for both yourself and the company
Qualifications:
- Proven track record for setting and achieving performance goals
- Skilled at providing an exceptional customer experience
- Detail oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word)
- Highly effective communication (written and verbal,) interpersonal, and negotiation skills to facilitate work with customers, colleagues, and numerous outside suppliers and stakeholders
