This role sits within LBS, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank.

Responsibilities

ºProcess optimization

• Produce cross-functional end-to-end process analyses that may affect all units of the Bank.
• Organize and co-facilitate working meetings with the various stakeholders involved in the process.
• Diagnose problematic situations and take action to solve problems by recommending corrective measures.
• Identify improvements and optimizations to be implemented.
• Work with the IT team to solve problems and optimize tools.
• Work with the Bank’s Process Excellence team.
• Actively participate in the implementation of identified operational improvements.
• Act as a change agent.
• Document in writing the analyses, diagnoses and recommendations.

ºCoordination and monitoring of small and medium-sized business line projects

• Assist the LBS business lines and the project champion in developing their requirements.
• Control and effectively manage the project budget and schedule.
• Identify and manage the risks associated with the project.
• Organize and co-facilitate working meetings with the various stakeholders involved in the project.
• Support the change management strategy, including communication and training strategies, in collaboration with all stakeholders.
• Produce appropriate documentation at each stage of the process and follow the internal project submission process.
• Maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders involved in the project activities.
• Communicate the status of the project and quickly escalate any issues to the champion.
• Actively coordinate the implementation of each phase of the project.
• Work with the teams involved in the delivery of the project.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant field
• Knowledge of financial products and their operational processing (back-office)
• Basic accounting knowledge
• Three to five years of relevant experience related to the role
• Experience in the brokerage industry, knowledge of the regulatory environment of an IIROC member dealer, an asset
• Project management experience, an asset
• Strong analytical, synthesis and organizational skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills
• Bilingual* (English/French) verbal and written communication skills required
• Proficiency in Microsoft tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio
