As a Marketing Partner you are a curious catalyst who works to remove silos, every day bringing strong business acumen and using experimentation to enable end to end agile strategic process for our therapeutic areas and external ecosystems in order to meet the needs of our stakeholders (patients and customers). You inspect the healthcare ecosystem holistically utilizing advanced analytics to continuously derive actionable insights that can be leveraged through an omni-channel approach including digital engagement to provide a great customer and stakeholder experience.

What you will bring to this role:

Generate actionable insights to identify business opportunities, which inform and optimize therapeutic area and brand strategy AND enhance the customer experience

• Actively Leverage advanced analytics and other sources of insights (e.g. social listening, digital trends) to identify key gaps and opportunities in the ecosystem and patient journey
• Partner with key cross-functional team members, connects and translates multiple data points into prioritized customer and business insights that can be actioned in a collaborative approach
• Create aligned therapeutic, brand and customer engagement strategies with a particular focus on messaging and promotional content that is driven by market/ecosystem needs
• Utilizing strong business acumen, identifies appropriate marketing mix to ensure seamless customer experience and consistent external messaging and positioning of the brand to create the most value for Patients, Customers and Roche
• Act as a Catalyst, coaches/challenges cross-functional colleagues to establish an aligned cross-functional therapeutic area strategy and tactics to meet the overall business objectives
• Leverage the network to share and receive recommendations for tactical and strategic decisions
• Bring a strong understanding of customer journey maps and patient journeys and how they influence integrated strategy planning
• Co-create the development and execution of customer and patient centric integrated strategic plans and programs
• You are proficient in outcome-based planning to establish clear strategic guardrails for ecosystem strategy
• Utilize outcome based planning and Impact Retrospectives to support agile ways of working
• Demonstrate curiosity and the ability to question and challenge to drive innovation in the development and execution of marketing plans
• Seek to understand market trends, business opportunities and the performance of assigned products including regional opportunities trends gaps and competitor performance
• Investigate opportunities to expand market size by networking and developing contacts beyond the traditional customer base as appropriate by brand
• Establish strong relationships and presence with National and Regional Therapeutic Area Experts working with colleagues
• Collaborate with squad/ strat hubs/networks to integrate customer and patient centric perspective into Integrated strategic plans and activities
• Develop strong understanding of path to purchase and patient journey and how they influence marketing plans and activities
• Shape and develop compelling content across appropriate multichannel mix to provide a customer-centred, personalized and differentiated customer experience with Roche brands
• Continuously evaluate opportunities for optimizing our customer experience through digital engagement and is responsive to the needs of the customer
• Leverages the network of peers and cross functional colleagues and adopts a test and learn mentality and ongoing campaign and channel optimization
• Looks beyond our brands and therapeutic areas to make a bigger impact on health/healthcare
• Brings critically important business acumen, while coaching/challenging cross-functional colleagues, to establish an aligned cross-functional investment looking at the brand in its lifecycle, relative to the portfolio and to the greater Roche investments
• Collaborate with finance and analytics partners to establish an Event Driven Forecast with clearly articulated assumptions and updates as appropriate based on key insights and trends from the external environment
• Ensure a robust supply and demand forecast is in place, by monitoring external trends so as to ensure optimal access to medicines for patients and optimally prevent product wastage
• Strong assessment of competitive trends and impact on our outcome
• Willingness to partner externally where appropriate
• Actively work across the network (across Roche Canada and global organization) within and across brands and look to share insights and action across a broad network to maximize the outcomes on a broad scale
• Effectively coach and mentor colleagues within marketing division and outside on business acumen, trade off decisions, return on investment and prioritization
• Act as leader and networked contributor on Canadian and global teams for prioritized work packages based on desired outcomes

What Capabilities and Experience you will bring to this role:

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferable in Science or Business. Advanced degree an asset (MBA, MSC etc)
• 3-5 + years of work experience including
• Demonstrated success as a Product Manager/Marketing Manager and/or several related pharmaceutical positions including: , Learning and Development partner, Medical Affairs Partner, Patient Journey Partner, Analytics and Insights Manager, Digital Experience Manager, Patient Experience Manager, Transformation Partner or other relevant customer facing experience
• VACC (visionary, architect, catalyst, coach )leadership approach to product life cycle management and the expertise, partnerships and customer insights needed to support team and deliver results in agile working environment
• Experience in competitive markets is strongly preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative and networked environment and to lead without authority
• Track record of taking risks and questioning and challenging of the status quo and external focus
• Proven ability of building trust and empowering cross-functional team
• Pragmatic approach and leadership style
• Digital Experience is strongly preferred
• Bilingualism in English and French an asset
