What would you be doing?

The Finance Manager is responsible for the company’s financial needs, including but not limited to: recording and tracking all corporate transactions, budget, and forecast business objectives, filing, payment, revision, and validation of all sales tax amounts owing to all applicable tax jurisdictions, prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports. This role incorporates a combination of financial analysis, strategic analysis, creative thinking to ensure that business objectives and financial results are met, all while ensuring the company is in compliance with all tax related obligations. The Finance Manager will lead ongoing process improvements, enhancements projects and continuous development of planning tools and models. The Finance Manager will ensure robust financial data, metrics and analysis are available across the company to aid in and support decision making.

Working closely with the COO, the Finance Manager is also responsible for helping to research, identify, and validate opportunities for new processes and procedures that function in a more effective manner.

What are we looking for?

  • An exceptional communicator with strong verbal and written skills who will collaborate and build effective relationships with each department to navigate financial aspects for their department.
  • Someone who will build the team through coaching and developing, while providing managerial guidance
  • An individual who is results oriented, analytical, and comfortable adapting to and driving change.
  • A person who enjoys improving systems and document processes, all while creating organized efficiencies.
  • An individual who has a good understanding of tax and experience working with an ERP system.
  • Someone who values integrity in themselves and in the work they produce.

What should you have?

  • Minimum of 5 years of Accounting experience required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of supervisory/management experience in Accounting or Senior Analysts level
  • At least 1 year successful experience in a startup or smaller, entrepreneurial, fast-growth organization.
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping programs (Quickbook preferred but not required)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, mainly Excel
