Cloud Vital Looking for Accountant/Financial Analyst at Canada Full Time

Location: India – 100% Remote

Job Type: Full Time/Contract

We are looking for an Accountant/Financial Analyst who will play a key role in organizing and supporting all the financial functions of your business, including bookkeeping,cost recording/checking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting,financial analysis. This person will also be involved in the contracting process.

This role reports to the Finance Controller. Accountant responsibilities include preparation of financial documents and procedures, maintaining of cost recording, preparation of AR invoices, registering and checking of AP invoices, supporting, payroll function, budgeting and other related ad-hoc tasks.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping, strong analytical skills and good knowledge of accounting and financial accounting, and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.

Knowledge of accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks would be a strong asset.

A Financial Analyst’s primary role is to analyze the past and present financial data of the organization and estimate future revenues and expenditures. The person will be need to gather/process data and prepare various analytical reports/researches, including both established processed and brand-new tasks. Therefore, the person is expected to be creative, agile to changes, able to work independently, and to have strong knowledge of MS Office.

Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting transactions
• Prepare budget forecasts
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Manage cost recording
• Maintaining Accounts payable function, including registering and checking invoices
• Maintaining Accounts receivable function, including preparation and issuance invoices
• Handle quarterly and annual closings
• Coordinate with tax advisors
• Ensure timely bank payments
• Ensure timely tax payments and tax reporting
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
• Comply with financial policies and regulations
• Gather/process data and prepare various analytical reports/researches

Requirements and skills

• Work experience as an Accountant
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
