We’re looking for a mission-driven Coordinator, Talent Acquisition who is passionate about creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada where people with low vision have unlimited opportunities and can experience life free from barriers and discrimination.
Your Impact at CNIB
Filing, drafting, and editing correspondence to managers, applicants, and internal and external stakeholders.
Supports in partnering with P&C Administrator to create or revise new hire paperwork.
Oversee and execute full-cycle recruitment including intake meetings with hiring managers, preparing job postings, sourcing candidates, phone screenings and interviews (where applicable).
Establish partnerships with organizations focusing on diverse talent, including education/upskilling entities and unconventional talent sources.
Represent CNIB at job fairs and collaborate with internal teams on initiatives supporting organizational goals.
Track and manage talent acquisition metrics such as internal promotions, diversity metrics, and time to hire.
Partner with HRBPs on recruitment projects and collaborate with Manager, Talent to identify talent gaps and advocate potential successors.
Who you are:
Education and Certifications
Experience and Qualifications
1 – 2 years general Human Resources experience in talent acquisition.
Knowledge of various employment legislation.
Strong understanding of talent acquisition processes, including sourcing and interviewing techniques.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite and previous experience working with HRIS systems; excellent data entry skills.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite.
Proficient in using applicant tracking systems and other recruitment software.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Customer service oriented with well-developed interpersonal skills.
Excellent administrative, time-management and organizational skills.
Ability to work with private and confidential material.
Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
