Program Coordinator, Come to Work (Bilingual)

CNIB invites you to build a career as unique as you! We are currently searching for a Program Coordinator, Come to Work (Bilingual)! Reporting to the Director, Come to Work and working in collaboration with others across the country, the Program Coordinator, Come to Work, will build the resources necessary to grow and expand the Come to Work program to be national in scope and relevant to all Canadians with sight loss seeking meaningful employment.
Your impact at CNIB
Contribute to the development of the program delivery framework and implementation process to ensure the Come to Work program is consistent across Canada with a robust talent pool of people moving through the five stages of the program from initial assessment of job readiness through to employment.
Conduct intake assessments and establish initial employment action plan with participants.
Assist the talent pool where they are at – building confidence, collaborating on goal setting, and providing information and resources to help foster forward movement.
Research, develop and deliver regional and national program sessions/workshops to talent pool members focusing on job-readiness skills.
Develop a section of the talent pool for youth to prepare them for achieving their education, employment, and career aspirations.
Contribute to the development of and utilization of the appropriate assessment tools for consistency and to ensure data is clean and optimized through Salesforce and that participants have a relevant and actionable goal progression against agreed (documented) timeline.
Proactively encourage program participants to take advantage of other CNIB programs and services that may benefit them, whether working for themselves or for an employer, offering them opportunities to expand their support network and deepen their community engagement.
Coordinate the planning and execution of project deliverables with project staff from across the country, supporting the stages of progression and outcome measures.
Regularly report on project deliverables to the Come to Work Team as required.
Who you are:
Proven time management and organization skills; amenable to changing priorities, deadlines, and procedures.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Customer service oriented with well-developed interpersonal skills.
Professional attitude, results oriented, self-directed, and flexible.
Demonstrates mature and sensitive nature, as well as emotional and social stability when dealing with the needs of persons experiencing sight loss and other functional challenges working relationships is an asset.
Must be able to work independently.
We want to hear from you if you have:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field.
1-3 years in a program delivery role.
1-3 years of experience in program development and delivery within a charity/not-for-profit organization and/or Skill Development of individuals organization.
Bilingual (French / English) oral and written.
Advanced computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office software including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Proficiency/working knowledge of Salesforce an asset.
Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
Work Environment
Agile office environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours.
Occasional travel (10%).
