Coast Hot Tubs & Outdoor Living, established in 2017, is one of the leaders in retail sale of spas and outdoor accessories. Our head office is located in Langley, and we are currently expanding operations in the United States.
To help achieve our growth, we are looking for an ambitious Intermediate Accountant to learn, develop and grow with us. You are detail-oriented with previous accounting and/or bookkeeping experience. You are not afraid to ask questions and are able to resolve issues effectively. You enjoy working in a team but can prioritize your day with minimal supervision.
Role and Responsibilities
· Assist and work with the Director, Finance to ensure internal controls are effective
· Oversee the payables and receivables functions
· Work with the Director, Finance to improve all general financial related systems and processes
· Assist the Director, Finance with month end general journal entries and year end entries including overseeing and maintaining the chart of accounts
· Responsible for monthly bank and balance sheet accounts reconciliation
· You will maintain accuracy and completion of accounting platforms for management and financial reporting purposes
· Support the requirements to report to tax authorities in all tax jurisdictions and to calculate report and remit accurate taxes payable
· Manage all accounting transactions and assist with the preparation of monthly and annual Financial Statements
· Assist with the completion of the annual budget and cash/quarterly forecasts
· Manage payroll in ADP for hourly, salaried and sales staff for wages and commissions and administration of employee benefits with Equitable Life
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Completion of bachelor’s in accounting or finance field
· In process or completion of an accounting program (CGA/CMA/CPA) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
· Demonstrated strength in technical knowledge, specifically, of ASPE and IFRS
· Minimum of two years of experience in accounting with exposure to Accounts Payable, account reconciliations and month end closing. Experience preparing financial statements would be considered an asset
· Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office Application; especially Excel
· Hands on experience with accounting software such as Sage Intacct or Business Central is an asset

Salaries and Benefits
· Salary range – $65,000 – $75,000
