Human Resources Generalist
Reporting to: Human Resources Manager
Location: Vancouver, BC
As part of a small, fun HR team focused on supporting designated client groups and franchise network, the Human Resources Generalist delivers and executes a broad range of HR services and initiatives to continue to drive our culture that will motivate and retain exceptional people. This role will enable and support strategic business objectives to help our network secure a more positive employee experience throughout the entire employee life cycle.
What You will be Responsible for
Develop best practice tools and resources to attract and retain top talent that contributes to building COBS Bread as an ‘Employer of Choice’
Provide guidance and advice to all stakeholders for all HR related functions including but not limited to interpretation of company policies and procedures, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and compensation strategies
Collaborate with the HR team in the planning, implementation, execution and roll-out of HR programs, training and processes, as well as overseeing the Long Service Award Program
Provide support on all employee related matters in a timely and solution-oriented manner as well as producing Quarterly Reports to the Operations Team
Ensure compliance with provincial and federal laws and regulations relating to employment standards, human rights, privacy legislation and employment equity
Research and provide people management resources to support COBS Bread Support Team and Franchisees;
Review, prioritize and execute HR administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency while continually seek improvement to HR processes and procedures
Other projects and duties as assigned
Requirements
What You Bring to the Table
2+ years of Human Resources experience in a generalist role, ideally in both a corporate and franchise setting
Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or relevant field
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to interact effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
Possess strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness and adaptability to change
Commitment to confidentiality, integrity and exceptional customer service
Exceptional time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
A high level of initiative with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Proficient in SharePoint and MS Office, and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed
A CPHR designation or working towards it would be an asset
