Community Living Association for South Simcoe (CLASS) Looking for Human Resources Generalist at Alliston, ON Full Time

Community Living Association for South Simcoe (CLASS) located in the beautiful town of Alliston, is searching for a full-time Human Resources Generalist. The purpose of this position is to provide a wide range of support and advice to assist the Human Resources department in the administration of day-to-day tasks and functions with a focus on committee work, policies, health and safety and employee/labour relations. The Human Resources Generalist is committed to delivering exceptional service to all stakeholders working within the recognized standards and guidelines and in accordance with our mission statement:

The successful candidate must have the following minimum qualifications and experience:

• Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources Management required and specialized training (CHRP designation or in progress);
• A minimum of three years of related experience, experience in a Unionized environment preferred;
• Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality advice and support to stakeholders regarding employee relations and performance management issues;
• Strong working knowledge of the Employment Standards Act, 2000, Ontario Human Rights legislation, Occupational Health and Safety Act and other related employment legislation. Strong working knowledge of Collective Agreements preferred;
• Experience in managing WSIB and medical leaves of absence;
• Experience in recruitment and employee orientation;
• Experience in health and safety;
• Demonstrated excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills; and
• Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills.

CLASS is a non-profit transfer payment agency of the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Service, providing supports to people with developmental disabilities in the South Simcoe Area.
