Job Description

Requirements:
- A diploma in Developmental Services, Social Services or Personal Support Services.
- A demonstrated commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization.
- A minimum of 1 year experience supporting people with physical and intellectual disabilities, autism, mental health as well as challenging personal expression (behavior).
- Experience in supporting people in their daily activities of their choice.
- Knowledge and understanding of how to facilitate and support Person Centered Planning.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable with computer applications an asset.
- Must be available to work all shifts – days, evenings, nights and weekends.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Salary: $25.48 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- On call
- Weekends as needed
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime pay
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Port Colborne, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- supportive care: 1 year (preferred)
Language:
- English (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
