Programmer/Systems Integrator.

Job Summary

Design, Develop, Install and maintain automated control systems involving, PLCs, motor controls, HMIs and other automation components.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Participating in new installation of any PLC computer controls and electronic equipment
• Computer, PLC and electronic equipment installation programming and maintenance
• Keeping current all licensing of the program software
• Preferred to have knowledge of VFDs.
• Programing HMIs and SCADA is an asset.
• Scheduling daily maintenance and tasks to successfully maintain and keep up to date all systems.
• Recording and logging including maintain and back-up all software used in PLC equipment in the plant.
• Assisting in the development and installation of new electrical designs
• Assisting, as requested, in maintenance of office hardware.
• Working with Automation group as PLC programmer
• Responsible for development of new Automated systems related to Auto Pick, Stacker Cranes, Refrigeration Systems, Plant Global
• Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting PLC controls company wide.
• Available for system support of all PLC related equipment and assist IT group with general IT related support issues.
• Must adhere to Preventative Maintenance Plan schedule.
• May be a Project Leader on automation initiatives.
• Operating all Allen Bradley PLCs, Windows and Linux based Servers, Computers, Field Wiring, Networking, and Wonderware
• Working at Heights is an asset, but we will train.
• Ability to work with a cross functional teams per project demands.

Working Conditions:

• This is a stable position in a shop environment within a fully automated facility.
• This job requires working in a refrigerated and freezer environment.
• Overtime is required on occasion.

Qualifications:

• 3 Years College Diploma, 4 years in Electrical engineering or mechanical Engineering or Computer Science
• Experience with various Allen Bradley products, including, but not limited to: ControlLogix, RS Logix 500, Compact Logix etc.
• Project Management experience.
• Must be available for overtime/weekend work.
• Ability to work on multiple projects/tasks at one time.
• Ability to troubleshoot on their own quickly and effectively.
• Break and fix experience with servers will be an asset.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and understand business needs.
• Ability to work projects in a fast-paced result-oriented team.
