The role of Wellness Manager – Director of Care (Registered Nurse) will be serving the brand-new Medicine Hat community – Medicine Hat Care Community. The Wellness Manager is the advocate for the resident’s and their families.

• Using the available resources, the Assistant Wellness Manager is responsible for delegating, coordinating, and evaluating the delivery of care based on the Resident Care Plan & Service Plan (if applicable)
• Ensure an interdisciplinary effort to achieve the successful integration of quality of life and quality of care
• Responsible for performance reviews
• Ensure that care delivered recognizes each Resident as an individual so that personal needs are met beyond traditional nursing practices
• Education & orientation for all employee care partners
• Teach delegated services to care partners as per accepted practice standards
• Liaison with Care Team (i.e., Resident, Family- if applicable, Home Care Nurse, Doctor, Pharmacy, Care Partners, and other health care professionals) as required

Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from:

• Graduate of a recognized Registered Nursing program – Required
• Registered and in good standing with their related Licensing Body – Required
• Valid Certification in First Aid and CPR – Required
• Previous experience as a Supervisor or Manager – Required
• Labor and employee relations resolution experience – Required
