POSITION TITLE: SHOTCRETE NOZZLEMAN

REPORTS TO: Shotcrete Crew Foreman

JOB OVERVIEW

Consolidated Shotcrete Inc. (CSI) is looking to hire an experienced Shotcrete Nozzleman who can apply shotcrete and are familiar with different shotcrete methods, materials, and equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Applying Shotcrete as per the specifications concerning required line and grade
• Coordinating the application of Shotcrete process with the Foreman, Cement Finishers and Blow Pipe workers
• Ensuring that all surfaces shot are clean, secure, free of loose materials, and that the anchors, reinforcing, and piano wires are all properly spaced
• Ensuring that the air pressure is uniform and will provide high velocity of impact for high quality compaction and sees that rebound and loose debris are removed
• Performing general maintenance of tools, reporting defects
• Performing setup and cleanup tasks at the job site
• Providing general labour support to the Crew as needed
• Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• ACI Nozzleman Certificate (considered an asset)
• G Class Driver’s License (Preferred)
• Experience in Concrete and Construction
• Must be able to work long hours outside in all weather conditions, including seasonally hot or cold temperatures and inclement weather
• Active listening and respectful attitude
• Strong work ethic, must be reliable and punctual
• Able to work individually as well as part of a team
• Must be able to lift, carry, or shovel objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Able to perform physical labor requiring continual and repetitive use of large motor skills to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, crawl, crouch, shovel, push, pull, twist, turn, stretch, and reach

We are unionized with LiUNA Local 183/506. Candidates with the appropriate experience may be sponsored into the union if not already a member. Union pay, excellent benefits and pension package provided. May be required to work overtime.
