Cooke Aquaculture Looking for Data Steward at New Brunswick Full Time

The Role

Cooke is undertaking a multi-year Dynamics 365 ERP implementation which will enhance our entire business infrastructure We are in search of a Data Steward to join our Dynamics 365 ERP Implementation Team. This role is a term position that will remain in place for the duration of the multi-year program. This position will report to the ERP Program Manager and will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for identifying data requirements with support from work stream leads during system implementations.

• Responsible for maintaining data standards across implementation projects.

• Participation in system testing preparation during the project lifecycle.

• Participation in data migration activities.

• Contribute to the training plan and training material.

• Contribute to future Master Data Management project activities when D365 data is involved.

• Support the establishment of data definitions and business rules.

• Identify data assets to ensure there is no conflict with other data elements.

• Manage product, customer and vendor data and standardization for the different companies within Cooke and across stakeholder groups.

• Create processes and procedures in collaboration with Master Data Management program along with controls to monitor adherence.

• Optimize workflows and communications.

• Monitor data usage to assist teams, share best practice trends in data use, and provide insight into how and where teams can use data to help in day-to-day decision-making.

• Troubleshoot and address issues to enable proper setup.

  Qualifications

• You are an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.

• You are detail-oriented with strong technical skills and ability to learn quickly.

• Database knowledge and/or data modeling is an asset.

• Energized in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• A problem solver by nature.

• Well versed in business acumen and/or master data management practices.

• Inspired to encourage discussion and debate on data.
