Cornaglia Canada – Abcor Filters in recruiting an SAP 4 Hanna highly skilled Production and Logistics Planner.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Production Planner is responsible for supervising all shifts in the production department, including the set-up function, ensuring that production, quality and quantity standards are maintained, and maintenance program is carried in an efficient manner. To ensure that Material Handlers are properly trained, receive regular job performance feedback and work safely in a safe workplace. Work with all departments to define the scope of improvement opportunities. Also, this role contributes to a human work environment where fairness, equality and non-discriminatory practices are the standard.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Responsible to ensure that all finished production meets established quality control specifications.
• Actively participate in the weekly and daily production meetings to determine production requirements for the upcoming week, and to plan set up changes and timing to ensure customer delivery dates are met. Discuss with Material planner that an adequate inventory of raw material and components is maintained.
• Delegate work assignments to the Shift Supervisor ensuring complete understanding so that quality standards and customer delivery dates are met
• Make recommendations on required changes to existing and new tooling and prototypes, ensuring better quality parts and fewer rejects
• Responsible to prepare job set-up sheets for each part to ensure an even production flow of moulded parts produced to quality and production standards
• To sign appropriate docket to ensure secondary tooling has been put in proper storage area in good working order at all times. If mould is damaged, then assign manufacturing engineer to send immediately to tool shop for repair
• Ensure compliance for Warehouse Management storage and warehouse organization structure for both logical and physical location. Responsible for compliance to meet strict FIFO storage and picking strategies.
• Ensure employees perform efficiently and effectively so that production and quality standards are maintained by monitoring department and monitor efficiency standards.
• Actively participate on developing CI programs and implementation of Lean Manufacturing.
• Manage KPI meetings and production KPI metrics to address production issues with Plant Manager and cross-disciplinary team members to derive new CI projects and resolve production open issues
• Ensure manufacturing parameters are met or exceeded to meet various efficiencies targets.
• Actively participate in Month end inventory to assist in production financial standing and to verify inventory of WIP, Finished Goods, raw material, components and packaging
• Responsible for inventory variance resolution in SAP and root cause analysis
• Actively participate in quality engineering issues with customer

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

Minimum Qualifications:

• SAP 4 Hanna – minimum 3 years experience
• Inventory Management, Production Scheduling – minimum 5 years experience
• APICS-CPIM Certificate (or working toward)
• In-depth knowledge of the MS Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel, is required.
• 3-5 years’ experience in automotive /manufacturing.
• Good understanding and extensive exposure to CI principles.
• Leadership Skills

• Knowledge of MRP and Scheduling in SAP 4 Hanna
• Knowledge of Ontario Health and Safety Act
• Knowledge of Employment Standards Act
• Time management skill
