We are seeking an organized, self-motivated, Dispatcher to join our team in Nanaimo, BC! You are self-described as someone with a positive attitude that possess the ability to manage high volumes of data to a great degree of detail and make sense of it in a quick pace environment.
Reporting to our Account Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our Delivery Associates on the road; communicating with the team to ensure the highest degree of success on the road. Proven excellent communication skills and getting the job done in a collaborative way is the foundation to operational success of our team. Lastly, you possess the ability to move between applications and programs with ease as well as the ability to multi-task as required.

What you will be doing:
- Ensuring safety of the drivers, and customers/receivers;
- Planning, monitoring, tracking and supporting drivers on the road to ensure optimum delivery performance while maintaining efficient communication always.
- Proficient, clear, calm communication is essential;
- General management of KPI metrics;
- Escalate special cases/concerns to the Regional Managers/Operations Analyst;
- Maintain a clean and COVID friendly, safe work environment;
- Have a flexible weekly availability of at least 4 days
- Work Standards – Setting high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed.
What you should already have:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum experience in a similar role would be an asset.
- Strong knowledge of emergency processes and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and MS Excel with proven experience in data entry.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
Shift Times:
- Thursday – Sunday (6.00 AM – 2.30 PM)
