About The Role
This is a remote position. The Billing and Collections Specialist is accountable for all aspects of the accounts receivable process, including invoice calculations, payment processing, reconciling related accounts monthly, and collections (B2B and B2C follow-up). This position will also be cross-trained, to assist with processing vendor invoices and reviewing for proper coding and follow-up, and processing of corporate credit cards.
What You’ll Be Working On
Processing and collecting invoices
Partner with Sales and Revenue operations to properly invoice all B2B customers
Verify and ensure accuracy of purchase orders from Salesforce for proper billing
Resolve client billing questions and concerns using internal and external resources
Reconcile monthly bookings with monthly invoicing
Reconcile banking daily
Maintain customer invoicing portals and submit accordingly
Partner with sales reps for the collection of the outstanding invoice
Monthly propose invoices for write-off to the Accounting Manager/Controller
Process all payments received
Perform monthly AR and sales tax reconciliations
Cross Trained payables and credit card processes
Assist with processing of vendor bills
Assist with the processing of credit card transactions
Process and reconcile monthly sales/GST tax
Assist and ultimately manage the sales tax system
Assist with year-end audits
Manage positive business relationships with both internal and external parties
Assist with the implementation of the new AP/CC platform
Assist with the implementation of a new billing platform and the integration with Salesforce and the ERP
About You
Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred
5-6 years of billing and collections experience and accounts payable
Intermediate skills with MS Office programs including Excel, Outlook, Word and GSuite.
Knowledge of the SaaS industry required
Knowledge of QuickBooks or other major accounting software package (e.g. Netsuite)
Knowledge of a CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce or Hubspot)
Good working relationship with Deal Desk and Sales
Demonstrate critical thinking to identify potential solutions or new approaches for current operating procedures
Strong time management skills and ability to multitask
Remote experience including communication using slack, zoom, google drive, etc.
