About the Job
The County of Bruce is currently seeking qualified applicants for the Full-Time position of Compliance Coordinator with the Transportation & Environmental Services department. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Compliance Coordinator supports the Transportation Operations Division in the delivery of service and maintenance activities related to roads and infrastructure. Some support to the Forestry and Trails Division for related activities is required. The Coordinator provides scheduling, program and project monitoring associated with County, Municipal or Legislated requirements as it relates to infrastructure maintenance and service.
Wage Rate: $69,870- $82,209 annually based on a 35 hour work week.
Requirements
Post-secondary diploma in Civil Engineering or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and directly related job experience
Two years of previous work experience in the municipal maintenance environment
Previous work experience in setup and user input of a work order system
Exceptional organization and record keeping skills
Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders on requirements and ensure understanding of work associated
Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain lasting working relationships
Demonstrated ability to be fiscally responsible and suggest cost-saving measures
Highly developed understanding of industry regulations, standards, and best practices including Occupational Health and Safety, Minimum Maintenance Standards O.Reg 239/02 and Commercial Vehicle Operator Regulation
Ability to work independently with critical thinking to understand where escalation is necessary
Meticulous records maintenance skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
