Cosa Vfx Inc Looking for Asset Generalist (BC/ON) at Remote Full Time

CoSA VFX is an award-winning, fast-paced and highly collaborative Visual Effects studio with locations in Los Angeles, Vancouver, Ontario and Atlanta. We are looking for experienced CG Asset Generalists with expertise in Maya and a passion for Organic Modeling, Texturing, and Look Development. This role reports to the Global Head of CG.

While this is a remote role, artists in British Columbia and Ontario will be given preference.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create photo-real CG imagery using a varied skill set, dependent on project needs.
• Solve creative problems using simple, efficient techniques, and communicate ideas and techniques with teammates, and iterate rapidly based on client notes.
• Work collaboratively as a part of a team on various projects.
• Engage effectively on multiple projects at the same time.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in visual effects for broadcast television, commercials, and/or feature films.
• Proficiency in modeling, UVs, texturing, and look development for hard surface and organic geometry; experience with creatures and characters is a big plus.
• Expert skill working within Maya.
• Experience with GPU and CPU rendering- V-Ray/Arnold/Redshift.
• Knowledge of F-track or other production shot-tracking software.
• Firm grasp of pipeline workflow in a post-production environment.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Tangible evidence of experience working in photoreal VFX for episodic television and motion pictures (demo reel), plus evidence of working experience as a digital artist in TV, Advertising and motion pictures.

The wage range for this full-time position is $50,000 – $130,000 per year which is a good faith assessment associated with this position only and will be assessed dependent on the skills and background of each candidate.
