The County is growing, and we are hiring for a second HR Advisor – Recruitment and Training for our Human Resources team! This exciting and fast-paced position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day recruitment and training activities for all County staff in collaboration with the other HR Advisor – Recruitment and Training.
Typical duties include but not limited to:
Full-Cycle Recruitment
Responsible for creating, updating, and managing all Job Descriptions and Job Postings for the organization
Implement and manage Candidate Management System software
Liaise with hiring managers to create job postings for vacancies
Screen resumes and conduct interviews, send out job assessments and conduct reference checks
Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
Create and send out offer letters to successful candidates
Conduct offer negotiations with candidates in coordination with the hiring manager
Manage onboarding and new hire process including sending all paperwork to new employees and assisting them with it as needed
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation as it relates to recruitment practices; ensuring that all applicants are evaluated based on their qualifications and that recruitment standards are consistent, fair, and equitable across the organization
Manage organizational chart
Training and Development
Assess training needs for new and existing employees
Set up and send all online training to new hires and assist them as needed
Organize, develop or source training programs to meet specific training needs
Coordinate and process billing for training
Track and report on training outcomes
Evaluate, research, and make recommendations on training material and methodology
Handle logistics for training activities including scheduling, registrations, certificates, venues, food, and equipment
Conduct new hire orientations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with CPHR designation preferred, other related education and experience may be considered
Registered Professional Recruiter certification (preferred)
Certified Training Practitioner certification (preferred)
Three to five years of Human Resources experience, recruitment and/or training and development experience is preferred
A valid class 5 driver’s license with an acceptable driver’s abstract.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft 365
Experience using and implementing a Candidate Management Software and HRIS preferred
