Two (2) Service Desk Technicians

The County of Haliburton is accepting applications from qualified candidates interested in obtaining a full time permanent Service Desk Technician position.

Reporting to the Service Desk Supervisor, the Service Desk Technician is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and complete support for the client environment including hardware, operating systems, applications and network equipment. The Service Desk Technician addresses requests in priority order to support users over the phone, via email and in-person to provide support with software, hardware, wireless networks, security camera systems, building security systems and door access systems. This position assists virtual public meetings, prepares training resources as needed, and maintains a current knowledge of new technologies through on-going professional learning and development.
Requirements for this position include a 2 year diploma or degree in Information Technology or a related discipline, and 1-2 years of related technical knowledge and skills gained through proven work experience.

The hourly rate for the unionized CUPE position is $30.05. Hours of work are 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
