Description: The Clerk IV provides complex clerical support. The Clerk IV performs these tasks in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE General Support Services Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Computer skills-skilled with Word, Excel, ORIS, Netcare, Connect Care, EMR, e-Clinician, ESP. Ability to schedule elective and urgent cases, ensure all Physical Therapists (PT) have PAC approval prior to booking, liaise with surgeons offices for PT bookings. Strong communication skills to work with patients, families, surgeons offices, multiple hospital depts. Ensure PT’s have correct information pre-operation, update all departments when changes, cancellations occur. Ability to orientate other staff members. Medical terminology course required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with Connect Care an asset. Previous experience working with OR bookings, surgical slates, or in a surgeon’s office an asset.
