The

**Industrial Electrician’s**

Key Responsibilities Include

• Keeping production equipment in good working condition by installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing all aspects of electrical components and machinery
• Working with cross-functional Engineering and Maintenance teams to increase efficiency, production quality, and output
• Following and complying with safety and environmental procedures
• Completing assigned Preventive Maintenance as per scheduled requirements
• Problem-solving skills and initiative to keep machine down-time to a minimum
• Working with priorities set by the supervisor, often with minimal supervision
• Correcting and/or reporting unsafe work conditions as appropriate
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date maintenance records and ensure required inspections are completed correctly and on-time.
• Providing training and mentoring to apprentices & others as required.
• Qualifications and Experience** :
• Hold a valid Ontario Certificate of Qualification 309A as an Electrician (required).
• Industrial Electrician 442A Certificate would be an asset
• A minimum of 3 years related experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably automotive (injection moulding).
• Ability to read, interpret and work from detailed electrical schematics
• Experience troubleshooting PLC and Robotic equipment (eg. Motoman, Fanuc, Wittmann, Sepro)
• Experience trouble shooting and repairing electrical and mechanical problems
• Knowledge of PLC’s, maintenance shop machinery and electronics
• Knowledge of building wiring and CSA codes as it applies to an Industrial establishment.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 40lbs using proper lifting techniques and assistive devices
• Demonstrated understanding of electrical/electronic schematic diagrams, drawings and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
• Reading, writing and communication in English
• Travel may be required within Canada and the United States (must be eligible to obtain a valid passport)
• Currently authorized to legally work in Canada for any employer

Additional Information

• Working straight day or afternoon hour shifts (8.5 hrs.), with the requirement for mandated weekend work in support of production needs
• Training period will include working both days and afternoons to support best opportunity for learning
• This position would be for afternoon shift and in the event of opening up a third shift there is a possibility of moving to night shift (based on seniority).
• Safety Shoes – receive a stipend for 2 pairs of safety shoes per year
• Tool Allowance – received a Skilled Trades annual tool allowance stipend
