Reporting to the Chief of pharmacy department or a manager designated by the latter, the incumbent is a member of the Pharmacy Department administrative team. He/she provides administrative support to the chief of pharmacy. He/she supports the implementation of the department’s missions and projects according to the mandates given by the Pharmacy Department’s management team.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
• Manages all resources under his/her responsibility in accordance with the institution’s clinical and organizational project defined in accordance with the institution’s mission, strategic vision and values.
• Manages all the resources under his/her responsibility in accordance with the institution’s orientations and priorities, in terms of human, financial, technical, informational and non-institutional resources.
• Manages all the resources under his/her responsibility within the framework of the organizational model adopted by his/her management.
• Manages all the resources under his/her responsibility in accordance with the performance targets identified by his/her management, such as efficiency, quality, risk and complaint management, clinical and administrative management.
• Under the authority of the Chief of pharmacy department, coordinates and is responsible for the human resources management of the staff under his/her responsibility such as service assistants, administrative technicians, pharmacy technical assistants, senior pharmacy technical assistants, pharmacy technicians and storekeepers.
• Follows up on contracts and agreements with the various teaching institutions.
• Ensures that the technical staff and storekeepers apply the work procedures and initiates, in the event of non-compliance, intervention measures with the employees after approval by the Chief of pharmacy department. In doing so, he/she ensures quality control of the medication circuit processes.
• Writes policies and procedures for the activities under his/her responsibility.
• Implements management tools to compile data (e.g. overtime, absenteeism rate, error rate, etc.) and keep statistics on the department’s activities and produce reports for the pharmacy department’s management team (e.g. management chart).
• Participates in various committees related to his/her function.
REQUIREMENTS
Education and experience:
• Undergraduate degree in a health, social services or rehabilitation field;
• OR undergraduate degree in administration or management;
• At least 2 years experience in a human resources or team management context;
• Experience in a pharmacy department of a health care institution is an asset;
• Experience in a unionized environment is an asset;
• Any other combination of experience and training deemed relevant could be considered.

• Mastery of Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneNote, etc.).
LANGUAGE
• Fluent in English and French;
• Fluency in Cree is an asset.
OTHER
• Includes on-call periods;
• Willing to travel.
