Job Title: Accounting and Finance Support Analyst

Term: Temporary (12 month)

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Reports to: IS Team Lead, Accounting and Finance

Purpose:

Working with the Accounting and Finance Systems team to provide effective and responsive support of the core Accounting and Finance applications, and integration components of related software packages.

Main Responsibilities & Activities:

• Provide skilled advice and technical support for daily business activities related to the Accounting and Finance applications and integration components.
• Provide system support for Aucerna Execute, QbyteFM, Excalibur Financial, and all tertiary applications.
• Assist with governance tasks, internal audit, and user verifications.
• Maintenance and routing of incoming support tickets related to the business unit.
• Contribute and support Business Systems Analysts with reporting requests, including SQL queries, Power BI, and SSRS
• Identify and drive issue resolution for software and related data issues.
• Assist, where required, with data conversions and software implementations.
• Work with IS team members to ensure accurate and timely conversion of data into production environments.
• Participate in change management process and protocol.
• Provide ad-hoc training as required to resolve recurring user issues.
• Work with third party vendors to optimize solution delivery.
• Work with IS team members to knowledge share and cross-train on other software applications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Post-Secondary education in Business, Accounting, or Computer Science is required.
• Minimum 5 years Accounting System/ERP frontend and backend support experience is required.
• Experience in the Oil and Gas industry is required.
• Proficiency with SQL query scripting is required.
• Data conversion/ETL experience is an asset.
• Acquisition and Disposition experience is an asset.
• Understanding of the business use of QByte FM, Excalibur, and Aucerna Execute is an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• Well organized with an ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail with an understanding of best practice standards is essential.
• Team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals
