A Virtual Events Support Technician is an experienced AV professional who can work directly with the client or the client’s designated lead/supervisor/project manager/technical director in the setup, dismantling and operation of virtual events dealing with audio, video, and lighting and/or other production elements in a control room, production centre, hotel, convention centre or similar type event venue.
Virtual Events Support Technician duties include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting internet/WIFI connection issues; participating in technical rehearsals with all presenters prior to virtual event; providing clients with an understanding of technical requirements; identifying any issues and making recommendations; serving as the technical contact/support during live day event; and assisting with other assorted duties that are entailed when setting up, dismantling or operating events.
All potential candidates are requested to provide all relevant technical experience and will be tested on their knowledge and understanding of virtual events.

- Able to demonstrate technical proficiency on demand
Job Requirements
- Legally permitted to work in Canada
- Highschool Diploma or equivalency
- Has a minimum of 1 year experience in setting up, dismantling, and supporting virtual events in an online environment
- Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps Certificate
- WHMIS (2015 or later)
- Has proficiency with Microsoft Teams and other virtual event/conferencing software platforms (OBS, Vmix, Zoom, Playback)
- Strong professional communication skills
Experience in the following is an asset
- Has worked as a technician in a virtual or studio environment
- We are currently looking for those with experience running Zoom in meetings
- Has relevant post-secondary education

Salary: $26.00-$27.00 per hour
