in this role, you will be:

• Coordinating and supporting all aspects of projects, including schedules, resources, procurement, commissioning, budgets, tracking, and risk mitigation strategies
• Assisting with project layout and design processess from start to finish
• Maintaining clear communication and building relationships with clientele to ensure project satisfaction and customer loyalty
• Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, email communication, preparing documentation, and managing project documentation
• Monitoring project progress, identify and address potential roadblocks, and implement corrective actions as needed
• Assisting in the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
• Attending site meetings as required with the site foreman to ensure project schedules and deadlines are followed and met
• Coordinating shop drawing packages, managing close-out procedures and packages
• Liaising with trades and reviewing drawings for potential project conflicts
• Supporting team to uphold and communicate team standards for site cleanliness
• Ensuring friendly, effective, professional, and timely communication standards, including texts, phone calls and emails
• Coordinating change management as required with the appropriate tracking and communication
• Maintaining a Google Calendar with recurring meetings to ensure regular rhythms and touchpoints with direct reports and sites; completing relevant touch point forms
• Ensuring all job site folders are up to date with current BOM, shop drawings, and site instructions

Experience Required

• 2 + years of previous experience working as a project coordinator, ideally in the construction and/or electrical industry is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to tackle tasks of any scale
• Aptitude for prioritizing and managing a high-volume workload, while staying focused on sound decision-making processes
• Confidence monitoring and controlling complex project budgets
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong level of comfort and efficiency using computers and technology
• A clean driving record
• Ability to work legally in Canada

The nice to haves:

• Previous knowledge of health and safety regulations, as well as Provincial and Municipal building codes
• Experience in managing cost and labour budgets
• Familiarity with the Google Workspace including Drive, Docs, and Sheets, as well as experience using Accubid Change Order
