Assembly Technician

We are looking for a talented Assembly Technician to join our team specializing in manufacturing for our New Power Business in Mississauga, ON.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements in a manufacturing environment.

• Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly identifying non-conforming materials. Implements changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function’s needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.

• Works at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard, performs quality inspections, ensuring product quality through standard work, and inspections.

• Meet production goals by operating equipment for manufacturing and assembly.

• Participates actively in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.

• Maintains clean and organized work area, including machine cleaning and routine housekeeping tasks.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

• Ability to stand for extended period, lift 50 pounds and good coordination

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
