About the role…
As Customs & Logistics Coordinator, you are an integral part of the inner workings of CYC Design Corporations – Reigning Champ. This role requires an organized, thorough and energetic individual to maintain the efficient importation and exportation of freight by ensuring timely shipments as well as compliance with all legislation, safety and security requirements.
Key duties & responsibilities include:
Accurately prepare various documentation, including but not limited to commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, TPL applications, and other trade related documents
Process day to day wholesale orders
Communicate with carriers to address and solve any issues that arise with customs/delivery
Continuously improving all import/export operational policies and procedures to ensure best practices are maintained in an ongoing effort to identify cost-savings opportunities
Work cross-functionally with internal teams, and external vendors/freight carriers to investigate shipment discrepancies
Work with external partners to ensure trade compliance with CUSMA/TPL/CETA
Communicate with custom brokers to ensure mandated shipment information and customs invoices are provided for customs clearance
Provide support and cross-training to the CYC Design Logistics Team
Coordinate and expedite import/export shipments with shipper/vendor, carrier, customs broker and warehouse while prioritizing shipments on order status
Can be support system to our shipper and assist during periods of high volume
About you…
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in logistics, export/import, trade compliance, or equivalent experience.
You have exceptional understanding of transportation and international customs requirements
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Strong sense of accountability & responsibility for the assigned role
Ability to prioritize and operate proactively
Experience with apparel HS codes classification & duty would be an asset
You are an exceptional communicator, and you build strong relationships with others
