Danby Appliances Looking for HR Business Partner at Guelph, ON Full Time

The HR Business Partner is a multi-faceted role, responsible for supporting the operations of Human Resources across North America. This includes developing and implementing policies, programs and procedures regarding recruitment, health & safety, human resource planning, employee relations, company communications, training and development, & performance management.

This role is responsible for supporting Warehouse Operations including H&S and Recruitment.

You Will:

• Manage the full cycle recruitment process; needs analysis, job postings, sourcing, interviewing, selecting, reference checking and employee offers
• Manage the ATS system; maintain records and ensure hiring metrics are reported accurately
• Support new employee onboarding process to ensure successful integration into the Danby workplace and culture
• Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for voluntary employee terminations and reports on findings
• Build relationships with external recruitment agencies and negotiate terms accordingly
• Provide leadership and coaching to Managers regarding disciplinary actions, performance management, compensation, employee relations, staffing needs, administration of policies, programs and employment laws across North America
• Provide employees with resources they need to succeed on the job, and address any concerns and provide support where needed
• Lead and/or participate in HR continuous improvement projects
• Create policies and programs that meet the training and development needs of the organization keeping in line with corporate values and mission
• Stay up to date on all Canadian and US employment and safety laws
• Be an active member of the Health & Safety Committee, fostering a safe work culture across all facilities
• Maintain HR records with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
• Create corporate communications in the areas of new hires, promotions, changes, new policies, employee surveys, benefits and other information impacting employees
• Support the leadership team as needed with other duties as required.

You Have:

• A University or College education in Human Resources or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of related experience involving recruitment, training & development, health and safety and performance management
• Strong networking, interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills
• Curiosity, you’re always looking for opportunities for improvement and are not afraid to ask questions!
• Ability to deal discreetly with sensitive and confidential information
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
• A high degree of autonomy!
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
• ATS/RMS and HRIS experience, bonus points for UKG or iCIMS!
• Experience with Canadian/US employment laws
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to wear multiple hats and have fun!
• Fluency in Spanish would be an asset
