POSITION OVERVIEW
The Tradeshow Coordinator plays an integral role in the successful operation of Danica’s North American tradeshow and showroom presence. The role is both creative and strategic: from implementing engaging events through merchandising and window display to managing the logistics and execution of events, all while meeting strict deadlines.
Key area of responsibility for the Tradeshow Coordinator is event logistics including product orders, deliveries, and setup timelines for our North American showrooms and tradeshows. They also assist in the design of merchandising plans and graphics plans, ensuring consistency across all spaces. They lead the sample process for showrooms and Sales Representatives, managing the office samples and ensuring timely delivery of showroom samples. The Tradeshow Coordinator also manages the bi-annual catalogue mailing to showrooms, reps and customers.
This position works collaboratively with internal departments including Sales, Operations, Creative and Product Development, as well as external contractors, to achieve successful results across all areas of responsibility. Biannual North American travel is required.
KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Tradeshow Marketing
· Lead the setup and logistics of our showrooms and trade shows including product orders and deliveries, contractors, and show operations.
· Maintain consistent marketing and branding across all showrooms and tradeshow efforts.
· Biannual N. American travel to assist with showroom setup.
· Coordinate tradeshow marketing opportunities such as product submissions, and vendor portals.
Marketing
· Organize and send the monthly rep newsletter
· Maintain Brandwise marketing pages including hotspotting and launching new catalogues or sellsheets, and maintaining landing pages.
· Upload and schedule tradeshow-related eblasts and segment customers accordingly
· Social media content creation at tradeshows and events
· Assist with social media engagement as needed
Website
· Coordinate and execute corporate website updates with graphics and copy edits, while assessing good UX.
· Maintain Marketing assets library (including but not limited to images, copy, videos).
The Experience of a strong candidate
· 1+ years related work experience or combination of relevant education and experience
· Completion of post-secondary education in Marketing, Tradeshow Marketing, Event Production, Merchandising Design or related diploma, degree, or certificate
· Previous event or tradeshow operations experience
· Previous merchandising or space planning experience in retail or event setting
· Deadline oriented with excellent time management skills
· Understanding of wholesale environments, specifically involving lifestyle products and brands
· Experience working with MailChimp and/or Omnisend or other email marketing software an asset
· Experience working with apps such as Shopify or Salsify an asset
· Excellent marketing copywriting and editing skills for channels such as social media, email marketing, and sales copy
· Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, operate proactively and work well independently
· Strong interpersonal skills and professional attitude
· Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
· Ability to lift 25lbs
· Valid passport with ability to travel within N America
