Dashwood Manor Seaside Bed & Breakfast Inn Looking for Innkeeper at Victoria, BC Full Time

Located by the beautiful seaside of Victoria, BC, the Dashwood Manor is a renowned local Bed and Breakfast provides the perfect lodging for vacation holidays, business travel, and romantic getaways. This 1912 heritage home sits gracefully on the edge of Victoria’s scenic marine drive, Dallas Road, and is surrounded by incredible ocean and mountain views, mile long beaches, and the famous Beacon Hill Park.

As the Head Housekeeper & Guest Services, you understand the importance of a warm welcoming check-in experience for our guests, and are committed to going above and beyond to make guests stay memorable. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Housekeeping: Able to help clean rooms, organize the hotel, and to meet good cleanliness standards
• Supervisor duties, including leading a team hands on, and team task delegations
• Physically able to complete housekeeping tasks in a timely manner; good time management skills

• Guest Services: Answer the phone, emails, checking guests in and out, informing guests about activities in the area, and help prepare breakfast
• Provide friendly and professional service to all guests
• Provide help/ help prepare Breakfast

• Experience working independently and part of a team
• Flexible with job duties and willing to take initiative
• Lodging and property operations management
• Proactive with marketing, events, website updates, maintenance, etc

Qualifications:

• Previous Hotel or B&B management or supervisor experience is preferred
• Good communication skills, and fluent in English
• Detail oriented and an experienced problem solver
• Able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities
• A team player with a positive attitude
• Post-secondary education in a hospitality program is an asset
• An eye for attention to detail, such as maintenance, and improvement of the lodge’s appearance

Pay and Benefits:

• The starting pay rate for the position is $25 – $28 per hour, and is dependent on experience and performance.
