Dawn Staffing Solutions Inc Looking for CNC Machinist at Markham, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Shift – Days

Responsibilities

• Generate CNC code based on provided CAD data
• Configure machining tools, offsets, and materials according to program instructions
• Execute CNC code and validate completed components as needed
• Collaborate with Design Engineers, Project Leaders, Toolmakers, and Apprentices to optimize manufacturing processes for (high volume) components, identifying potential product enhancements and addressing construction issues
• Ensure understanding and fulfillment of customer requirements, encompassing project timelines, part quality, and delivery
• Maintain organized job folders and electronic data records
• Participate in meetings as necessary
• Promote a safe, clean, and organized shop environment to facilitate efficient and secure manufacturing practices
• Discuss project direction with Project Leader
• Keep supervisor informed of any program-related issues
• Offer training, guidance, and support to colleagues as needed
• Facilitate effective communication within the program team
• Accurately record and submit timesheets promptly
• Adhere to all documented quality procedures
• Follow company safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Participate in mandatory training sessions
• Document and present information acquired from conferences and training courses as required.

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of G-Code.
• Outstanding machining proficiency.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
• Fundamental familiarity with widely used Windows applications in the industry.
• Completion of Lift Truck Safety Course and Crane Operation and Safety Training with success.
