What will your typical day look like?

PMO Manager role is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement across Deloitte’s corporate real estate portfolio, with a focus on processes, quality of deliverables and project delivery support to drive delivery. This role reports directly to the Director of Corporate Real Estate.

• Lead a team of project management professionals in the delivery of multiple CRE projects of various sizes across Canada, including the application of internal project management processes and practices
• Collaborate in partnership with cross functional teams including Design, , Real Estate Infrastructure, Workplace Services, Information Technology Services and Security
• Works closely with Project Managers and support teams to ensure adherence to budget and schedule, mitigating any potential risks and providing a challenge function in support of Firm priorities
• Develop the project management team and build internal project management capacity and leadership competencies
• Support project managers (both internal & external) and cross functional teams to ensure projects are coordinated and aligned with organizational objectives
• Support team with project process improvement including documentation, templates, project and communications plans
• Contribute to improving the best practices of the project management within CRE to help maintain project management professionalism

About The Team

The Corporate Real Estate (CRE) team contains three streams, Workplace Strategy & Design, Project Management Office, and Lease Administration, each lead by a Senior Manager stream leader that reports to the Director, Corporate Real Estate. The PMO includes 4 internal resources that are also supported by Global Procurement, National Infrastructure (AV and security) and Workplace Services (operations) teams to deliver the national capital program for Corporate Real Estate.

You are someone who has:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
• LEED and WELL certified an asset
• Been employed directly by a large professional or financial services firm in a leadership role (capital program, process improvement, business transformation)
• Experience in the practice of corporate real estate, real estate infrastructure, or facilities management roles
• Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC) contract documents
• 10+ years of experience in construction project management, with minimum experience of three recent significant office interior fit-up projects (full life cycle)
• Demonstrated understanding and experience in project management best practices
• Working knowledge of budget preparation and proven ability to manage projects within budgetary constraints
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully including at the program level
• Proven experience and capability to contribute to the decision-making needed to introduce process change/transformation into internal business teams
• A track record of building strong relationships with internal clients and external business partners
• Outstanding interpersonal written and verbal communication and documentation skills
• Good skills and knowledge of facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
• Understanding of commercial real estate is an asset
• Demonstrated knowledge in MS Project
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• A university degree (in Business, Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design or equivalent field)
