DENOLOGIX INC. Looking for AWS/Redshift Developer at Toronto, ON Full Time

Do you enjoy working from home? Are you a self-starter? If so, Denologix is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team on a contract basis as an AWS RedShift Developer.

You are available to fill an AWS RedShift Developer role for a one-year contract. You must have an understanding of AWS structure and experience with AWS services, specifically creating Glue jobs and materialized views through Redshift, SQL, Postgres and API’s. If you have worked with stored procedures in any database it would be a big plus! The position is remote work but you may be asked to go the the office in Toronto, Canada for meeting(s) when / if required.

The AWS BI Developer’s role:

• Modify existing reports, extracts, dashboards and cubes as necessary.
• Collect, analyze and share data to help make strategic product decisions.
• Make the data understandable for the organization
• Create and run reports containing data found
• Make the highly technical language available to those who are not as technically skilled.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assembling large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements
• Identifying, designing and implementing internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
• Building analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition
• Working with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience as AWS RedShift Developer.
• MUST Have: Python, AWS RedShift, SQL, Glue

• Nice to have: API’s, Hive, CloudWatch, S3, Redshift Spectrum, Athena, DataBricks, Scala, Spark, pyspark, Zeppelin

• English fluency is a MUST. Excellent written, verbal and comprehension communication skills.

• Education in IT or related field preferred
