Department of Anesthesia – T.O.H. – General Campus Looking for OHIP Billing Clerk & Scheduling Assistant at Ottawa, ON Full Time

Position Information:

The employee will be responsible for a variety of billing and scheduling tasks in support of the Department of Anesthesiology. Specifically, he/she will prepare billing sheets on a daily basis for staff members, verify collection and accuracy of required data, perform data entry into our billing software (Physician’s Billing Assistant by MedTel Software Ltd), submit billing data to OHIP, reconcile reports, follow up and resubmit as required, validate and process invoices for payment, prepare and finalize deposits, follow up on past due patient payments, and assist other staff members in data analysis and the preparation of analytical and statistical reports.

Basic Requirements:

– Applicable College diploma or a minimum of one year previous clerical and administrative experience;

– Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills;

– Ability to work independently;

– Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook;

– Experience with MedTel billing software (Physician’s Billing Assistant) or similar billing software considered an asset;

– Proficiency in speaking, writing and comprehending English; French would be an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $22.55-$24.05 per hour
