Financial Accountant

Do you enjoy working with people and want to make a difference for the taxpayers of New Brunswick? The Office of the Comptroller is seeking an individual to join the Accounting, Reporting and Financial Systems team on a contract basis as a Financial Accountant working in Fredericton.
The Office of the Comptroller provides leadership in accounting and internal auditing and consulting services to government departments and agencies and encourages the effective management of the resources of the Province. We offer a fun, challenging, flexible work environment.
As a member of the Accounting and Financial Reporting team, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must possess:
PB 4: A Bachelor degree in Commerce, Business Administration or a related discipline, and enrolment in the final year of study in the Chartered Professional Accountant Certification OR a Masters Degree in Business Administration. A minimum of two (2) years of related work experience in financial accounting is required.
PB 5: A Bachelor degree in Commerce, Business Administration or a related discipline and a Chartered Professional Accounting designation (CPA) OR a Masters Degree in Business Administration. A minimum of five (5) years of related work experience in financial accounting is required.
Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

Salary:
Pay Band 4: $53,456 to $74,776 annually, commensurate with experience.
Pay Band 5: $61,204 to $85,514 annually, commensurate with experience.
