The opportunity !

We are looking for an Accounting Lead that will be responsible for coordinating the accounting process linked to the accounting and finance department of Groupe Dermapure, making it possible to provide the financial information necessary for subsequent analyses, in accordance with established procedures and prescribed deadlines. In addition, they will participate in the development, implementation, documentation and updating of tools, processes and procedures as well as the deployment of new systems.

A day in the life –

Team Management

• Effectively lead the team of technicians, accounts payable clerks, accounting clerks and assistants by ensuring the management of activities, priorities, prescribed deadlines as well as coaching, training and optimal development of resources.
• Supervise the completion of the tasks carried out by the team under their responsibility.
• Supervise the follow-up of the accounting procedures in place.
• Raise any concerns to the Director of Finance.

Accounting Cycle Management & Accounting Analysis

• Responsible for the month-end process, including journal entries and coordination of the close with the team in a timely manner.
• Coordinate the tasks of the payables, receivables, banking, inter-company cycles, expense claims, etc. to ensure that all audits are completed within the prescribed timeframes while ensuring compliance and oversight of related external audits.
• Compile and report data and other information to support business operations.
• Prepare management reports and analyses and specific report requests.

Cash Management

• Participate in the preparation of cash flows and liquidity positions.

Internal Controls and Accounting Processes

• Participate in the implementation, documentation and updating of tools, processes and procedures in order to improve the effectiveness of operations, the efficiency of the accounting team and the quality of financial information, in particular by maximizing the use of accounting or point-of-sale systems.
• Participate in the deployment of new accounting and operational systems including the development of financial reports.

Operations & Customer Services

• Act as a business partner and reference in the accounting and finance team for management, clinics and other departments.
• Provide accounting support to directors and staff.

Various tasks related to accounting activities

• Collaborate in the preparation of various accounting and operational documents.
• Participate in special projects and other analyses as required.
• Perform any other duties or responsibilities incumbent of this position.

What You Bring To Our Team –

• Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) in Accounting and Management Technology or a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Accounting Profile, (CPA) (an asset)
• Experience in change management (an asset)
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience in a company with multi-point of sale (a strong asset)
• Bilingual (French/English) both written and spoken and with good communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic and fast-growing environment.
• Mastery of the complete accounting cycle
