About the Role
Reporting to the Development Manager, the Animation Development Intern will help support in the day-to-day operations of the Development team.
To qualify for this position you must be a post-secondary student enrolled in an accredited educational institution.
Responsibilities
Support the Manager of Development with reviewing, tracking and providing clear communication and feedback on the diverse slate of original IP and partnership opportunities that come into WildBrain for consideration
Create competitive sets (overview of shows in a similar space) for shows on the development slate
Research new industry talent such as writers, directors, and producers
Maintain and monitor submissions trackers and reading assignments
Manage storage of submissions and samples
Prepare agendas, decks and presentations for internal meetings
Liaise and coordinate with Executive Assistants and coordinators across the development, distribution, channel and sales teams
Schedule meetings, as needed, for the development team
Qualifications
Passion for animation and kids’ television, with a desire to develop a career within the industry
Ability to excel in a high pressure, deadline-oriented environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
Proactive approach to problem solving
Must be a self starter who takes initiative
