We specialize in coordinating complex scope, numerous change orders, and various sub-trades in small, short-term, to larger, longer-term projects.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role at Diamond Architectural Openings, located in Greater Toronto Area, Canada. As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for participating in the full cycle of accounting services for our projects, including tracking revenue and expenses, preparing and reviewing financial reports, maintaining project documentation, and analyzing financial data to assist in decision making. Additionally, you will work closely with our project managers to ensure that project invoices and payment applications are prepared accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field and at least 3 years of relevant experience in project accounting or a related field
- Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong organization and time management skills with excellent attention to detail
- Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and knowledge of project cost accounting is a plus
- Experience working in the construction industry is a plus
