INTRODUCTION
We are looking for an HR Generalist to join the Digital Convergence team, a dynamic consulting firm that provides sustainable technology solutions focused on unlocking customers and enabling employees.
The HR Generalist role is an essential part of our team and is responsible for organizing training, onboarding, administering employee benefits and leaves, and crafting HR policies. You will be the main point of contact for employee queries on HR-related issues.
This role is 50% Talent acquisition, 25% Onboarding and 25% HR Admin activities.
Expected Starting Base Salary 70,000CAD.

ROLE SPECIFICS
RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, Implement and administer human resource policies, employee policies and promote positive employee relations.
Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment by identifying candidates, administering screenings, conducting reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
Handle administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR management systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training and development initiatives.
Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits or company policies.
Support employees in HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues.
Process documentation and prepare reports relating to performance evaluations.
Identify future staffing needs.
Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics.
Investigate complaints brought forward by employees.
Maintain database of all employees’ information and ensure they are up to date and secure.
Ensure legal compliance with labour regulations and applicable employment laws and update policies/procedures as required.
Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business or a related field.
3+ years of experience working in the human resources field.
Proven track record in talent acquisition.
In-depth knowledge of Human Resource procedures and policies.
Well-versed in Employment Standards Acts across Canada.
Knowledge and experience with conflict management.
Effective at multi-tasking and prioritizing workload.
Understanding of personnel and compliance records management.
Efficient HR administration and people management skills.
Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics and cultural awareness.
Great judgement skills; able to review information and question or escalate as needed.
