DLL Canada invites you to share in our success by joining our Finance Department. We are hiring an experienced Head of Finance.
Day to day
As an active member of the management team, you would partner with colleagues and contribute to the successful creation and execution of the strategy and business plan
Develop the vision, mission, and strategy for the Canadian Finance department
Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions for all Business Units operating within Canada as well all Canadian legal entities. These primary functions will include accounting, tax, business planning and analysis, and treasury
Ensure timely and accurate regulatory, Canadian ASPE and IFRS reporting for all relevant entities
Ensure timely preparation of consolidated financial statements for several Canadian entities
Ensuring and monitoring that the DLL Group Finance & Control policies and procedures are implemented, maintained, and updated with future requirements related to Risk and Control Framework, Segregation of Duties, and Electronic Audit Evidence pertain to Accounting, Reporting, Financial Control, Tax, Transfer Pricing, Procurement and Supplier Management, Business Travel and Expense Reimbursement as well as Treasury related matters
Lead the implementation and ensure the proper execution of the Global Pricing policy and pro-actively support proper data management and governance
Involved in follow up related to regulatory audits performance
Ensure each Finance and Accounting function has short and long-term plans and hold each function accountable for achieving the plans
Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with each respective business unit’s plan for growth and expansion
Define and manage the key performance indicators and targets for the department in line with the annual plan and budget
Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities
Provide business leaders with advice on the financial implications of business activities
Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation, and reporting
Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data
Coordinate the yearly external audit process for the Canadian entities
Provide coaching and feedback to the finance leadership team to support their development
Responsible for implementing and monitoring of DLL Group Policies, from tax, capital, treasury, procurement, also ensuring that a cost-efficient mindset is maintained through management practices
Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with policies, applicable federal, provincial, and local regulatory laws, and rules for financial and tax reporting
Serve as a change agent by evaluating finance and accounting policies, procedures and processes for efficiency opportunities and implement any improvements

Essentials
Advanced finance degree and/or CPA designation preferred
10+ years of relevant industry experience
Previous experience in a managerial/leadership role
Effective leadership and decision-making skills
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Able to speak succinctly to senior levels of management across the organization
Effectively multi-task and manage various projects with competing deadlines
Demonstrated success in supporting teams to drive innovation and foster a high-performance culture
