Our client is an award-winning general contractor that provides design, permitting, preconstruction, and construction management services and is looking for a Site Superintendent to join their team in beautiful Langford, BC.

As a Site Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful completion of multi-family construction projects from start to finish. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and local building codes.
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
• Supervise and provide guidance to site personnel, including assistant superintendents, foremen, and construction workers.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective measures as necessary to maintain project schedule and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address construction challenges and make informed decisions.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photographs, change orders, and other relevant records.
• Manage material procurement, delivery, and inventory to avoid delays and minimize waste.
• Ensure that project budgets and cost controls are followed, and proactively identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members to ensure effective communication and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Site Superintendent
• Must have previous experience in multi-family residential construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multi-family construction projects, from the ground up to completion.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor on-site personnel.
